The Inventory status block in Maison displays the stock status of the currently selected product variant.

Depending on the available inventory and the block settings, Maison can show:
- In stock
- Low stock
- Out of stock
- In stock when the variant is configured to continue selling after inventory reaches zero
The block can also display the exact inventory quantity and a progress bar when stock is low.
Section overview
The Inventory status block includes:
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Low inventory threshold | Defines the quantity at which Maison changes the status from In stock to Low stock. |
| Show inventory count | Displays the exact available quantity in the inventory message. |
| Progress color | Controls the color of the low-stock progress bar. |
| Progress gradient | Applies a gradient to the low-stock progress bar. |
| Spacing | Controls spacing around the block. |
| Size | Controls the width and height of the block. |
The Low inventory threshold supports values from 0 to 100 and defaults to 20.
STEPS:
Add the Inventory status block to a Product template
The Inventory status block can be added inside the Product information area.
- Open the Maison theme editor.
- Open the required Product template.
- Open the main Product section.
- Expand Product information.
- Click Add block.
- Select Inventory status.
- Drag the block to the desired position.
- Configure the inventory settings.
- Click Save.

A common placement is:
- Product title
- Price
- Variant picker
- Inventory status
- Buy buttons
Only one Inventory status block can be added inside a Product information area.
Add Inventory status to Featured product
Maison also supports the Inventory status block inside the Featured product section.
- Add or open a Featured product section.
- Select the product you want to feature.
- Expand Product information.
- Click Add block.
- Select Inventory status.
- Configure the settings.
- Click Save.

The Inventory status uses the currently selected variant of the featured product in the same way as on a normal Product page.
Configure the Low inventory threshold
Use Low inventory threshold to decide when Maison should display Low stock.
The setting accepts values from 0 to 100.
For example, if the threshold is set to:
20
Maison uses the following logic for a tracked variant:
| Inventory quantity | Display |
|---|---|
| More than 20 | In stock |
| 1–20 | Low stock |
| 0 | Out of stock or In stock when Continue selling is enabled |
If the threshold is set to:
0
any tracked variant with inventory above zero is treated as In stock.
Show the inventory count
Enable Show inventory count when you want the exact available quantity to appear.
When inventory is above the Low inventory threshold, Maison displays:
[quantity] in stock
For example:
35 in stock
When inventory is low, Maison displays:
Almost gone! Just [quantity] left.
For example:
Almost gone! Just 4 left.
When Show inventory count is disabled, Maison displays simpler messages:
- In stock
- Low stock
- Out of stock
Understand the low-stock progress bar
When all of the following conditions are true:
- Inventory tracking is enabled for the current variant.

- Inventory quantity is greater than 0.
- Inventory quantity is less than or equal to the Low inventory threshold.
- Show inventory count is enabled.
Maison displays a progress bar below the low-stock message.
The progress is calculated relative to the configured threshold.
For example, with a threshold of 20:
| Inventory | Approximate progress |
|---|---|
| 20 | 100% |
| 10 | 50% |
| 5 | 25% |
The progress decreases as inventory becomes lower.
Customize the progress bar color
The Inventory status block includes color settings for the low-stock progress bar.
Available settings include:
- Progress color
- Progress gradient
Use these settings to match the progress bar to your storefront design.
These color settings affect the progress bar shown for low inventory.
The stock-status indicators themselves use Maison's built-in status styling:
- In stock — green indicator
- Low stock — orange indicator
- Out of stock — red styling
Understand In stock behavior
Maison displays In stock when:
- Inventory tracking is enabled.
- The current variant has inventory greater than the Low inventory threshold.
If Show inventory count is enabled, Maison includes the exact quantity.
For example:
48 in stock
If the count is disabled, Maison displays:
In stock
Understand Low stock behavior
Maison displays Low stock when:
- Inventory tracking is enabled.
- Inventory is greater than 0.
- Inventory is less than or equal to the configured Low inventory threshold.
If Show inventory count is enabled, the message becomes:
Almost gone! Just [quantity] left.
and Maison displays the low-stock progress bar.
If Show inventory count is disabled, Maison displays:
Low stock
without the progress bar.
Understand Out of stock behavior
When the currently selected variant has an inventory quantity of 0 or less, Maison checks the variant's inventory policy.
Continue selling disabled

Maison displays:
Out of stock
Continue selling enabled

Maison displays:
In stock
This follows the product's selling policy in SHOPLINE.
Understand products without inventory tracking
The Inventory status block only displays content when inventory management is enabled for the current variant.
If inventory tracking is not enabled, the block does not show an inventory status.
This means adding the block to the Product template alone is not enough. The product variant must also have inventory tracking configured in SHOPLINE.
Understand multi-variant products
For products with multiple variants, the Inventory status block follows the currently selected variant.
For example:
| Variant | Inventory | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Black / Small | 42 | In stock |
| Black / Medium | 8 | Low stock |
| White / Small | 0 | Out of stock |
When the customer changes the selected option, Maison refreshes the Product information and updates the Inventory status for the new variant.
This includes:
- Inventory quantity
- In stock / Low stock / Out of stock status
- Progress bar
- Continue-selling behavior
Configure spacing and size
Use Spacing to control the space around the Inventory status block.
Use Size to control its width and height.
The default size is:
- Width: 100%
- Height: Auto
These settings can be useful when arranging Inventory status with other Product information blocks.
Inventory status logic
Maison follows this logic for the currently selected variant:
Is inventory tracking enabled?
│
├── No
│ └── Do not display inventory status
│
└── Yes
│
├── Inventory > 0
│ │
│ ├── Inventory <= Low inventory threshold
│ │ └── Low stock
│ │ ├── Show count ON → quantity + progress bar
│ │ └── Show count OFF → Low stock only
│ │
│ └── Inventory > Low inventory threshold
│ └── In stock
│ ├── Show count ON → quantity in stock
│ └── Show count OFF → In stock
│
└── Inventory <= 0
│
├── Continue selling ON → In stock
└── Continue selling OFF → Out of stock
Example
Suppose the block is configured as:
- Low inventory threshold: 10
- Show inventory count: Enabled
The storefront behavior is:
| Current variant inventory | Result |
|---|---|
| 25 | 25 in stock |
| 10 | Almost gone! Just 10 left. + progress bar |
| 4 | Almost gone! Just 4 left. + progress bar |
| 0, Continue selling OFF | Out of stock |
| 0, Continue selling ON | In stock |
| Inventory not tracked | No inventory status displayed |
Troubleshooting
If Inventory status does not display or update correctly, check the following:
- Make sure the Inventory status block has been added to Product information.
- Confirm that inventory tracking is enabled for the current product variant.
- Make sure the current variant has valid inventory data in SHOPLINE.
- If the status always shows In stock, check the Low inventory threshold. A threshold of 0 disables the Low stock state for available inventory.
- If you expect the exact quantity, enable Show inventory count.
- If the progress bar is missing, remember that it appears only for Low stock when Show inventory count is enabled.
- If the product displays In stock at zero inventory, check whether the variant is configured to continue selling when out of stock.
- For multi-variant products, test each variant because the inventory status is variant-specific.
- If the status changes after selecting a different variant, this is expected behavior.
- If progress-bar colors do not appear as expected, review Progress color and Progress gradient.
- Save your changes and test the Product page on both desktop and mobile.
