In Be Yours, sections are reusable content areas that merchants can add, remove, reorder, and customize in the Shopify Theme Editor. Sections can be used to build homepage layouts, landing pages, collection pages, product pages, cart pages, content pages, and storefront overlays without editing theme code.
This article provides an overview of the available section groups, available sections, and common blocks in the Be Yours theme.
Section Groups
Be Yours organizes sections into different section groups.

Most daily page building happens in the Template group.
1. Header Group
The Header group controls the top area of the store.

The Announcement bar lets merchants communicate important information from the top of the storefront.

4. Footer Group
The Footer group controls the bottom area of the storefront.

Some sections are not usually added manually as general dynamic sections. Instead, they are part of specific Shopify templates.

9. Notes About Highlight Settings
Many Be Yours sections include highlight settings for headings or text.
When using highlight settings, please use italic formatting by selecting the text you want to highlight and then clicking the italic (I) button in the editor.
For example, if the heading is:
Shop Our Featured Collections
Select only the word you want to highlight, such as Featured, then click the italic (I) button in the editor. The theme will apply the selected highlight style to that italic text.
Common highlight settings include:

10. Notes and Limitations
Please note the following:
- Not every section is available in every section group.
- Some sections are static and can only be used in their assigned group or template.
- Some sections are dynamic and can be added to most templates.
- Some sections depend on Shopify data, such as products, collections, blogs, customer accounts, filters, or recommendations.
- Some sections depend on theme settings, such as quick view, color swatches, cart drawer, social media links, and localization selectors.
- Some sections require extra setup, such as Google Maps API for Store locator.
- Product ratings require rating metafields or a compatible review app.
- Product filters are managed in Shopify Search & Discovery, then displayed by the Product grid section.
- Dynamic source support depends on whether the section setting shows the dynamic source icon.
- If a section uses metafields, use Settings > Metafields and metaobjects to create or manage metafield definitions.
- For metafields, Shopify may auto-recommend the namespace and key after you enter the metafield name. Click the suggested namespace/key value if you need to edit it manually.
Troubleshooting
If a section does not appear or does not work as expected, check the following:
- Make sure you are editing the correct template in the Theme Editor.
- Make sure the section is supported in the selected template or section group.
- Make sure all required section settings are completed.
- Make sure required blocks have been added.
- If products do not appear, make sure the products are active and available on the Online Store sales channel.
- If collections do not appear, make sure the collections exist and are available.
- If blog posts do not appear, make sure the selected blog contains published articles.
- If filters do not appear, check Shopify Search & Discovery > Filters.
- If quick view does not work, check the global quick view setting and the relevant product card setting.
- If color swatches do not appear, check product options, native swatches, or custom swatch configuration.
- If a map or store locator does not work, check the Google Maps API key.
- Clear your browser cache and refresh the storefront.
- Make sure you are using the latest version of the Be Yours theme.
