7. How It Works with Product Variants

The Sticky cart block follows the selected product variant.

For products with variants, the sticky cart can show variant selectors so customers can change the selected option from the sticky bar.

Behavior:

Product state	Sticky cart behavior
Product has only one default variant	No extra variant selector is needed.
Product has multiple variants	Variant selectors can appear in the sticky cart bar.
Selected variant is available	The add-to-cart button is active.
Selected variant is sold out	The button shows the sold-out state.
Product uses the pre-order template	The button can show pre-order text.

Important:

• Some variant controls may be simplified or hidden on smaller screens.
• The sticky cart uses the same product selection as the product page form.

8. When to Use Sticky Cart Follow

Enable Show while buy buttons are off-screen when:

• The product page has a large product media gallery.
• The buy buttons are lower on the page.
• You want customers to access add-to-cart sooner.
• The product page has long descriptions, accordions, reviews, or extra content.
• You want the sticky cart to appear from page load when the buy buttons are not visible.

Keep it disabled when:

• You prefer the sticky cart to appear only after customers scroll past the main buy buttons.
• The product page is short.
• The buy buttons are already visible when the page opens.
• You want a more minimal product page experience.

9. Notes and Limitations

Please note the following behavior:

• The Sticky cart block is controlled from the product template.
• The block is added inside the Product information section.
• The block has a limit of one per Product information section.
• Show quantity selector controls whether the quantity selector appears in the sticky cart bar.
• Show while buy buttons are off-screen is available in Be Yours 9.5.0 or later.
• Show while buy buttons are off-screen is disabled by default.
• If you are using an older version and do not see this setting, update the theme to Be Yours 9.5.0 or later.
• When the 9.5.0 setting is enabled, the sticky cart appears whenever the main buy buttons are off-screen.
• When the main buy buttons are visible, the sticky cart hides.
• The sticky cart follows the selected product variant and product availability.
• The sticky cart does not create a separate product form setup for customers to manage.
• The exact sticky cart layout can vary by screen size and device.

Troubleshooting

If the Sticky cart block does not display or work as expected, please check the following:

• Make sure the Sticky cart block has been added to the product template.
• Make sure the block is added inside the Product information section.
• If you do not see Show while buy buttons are off-screen, update the theme to Be Yours 9.5.0 or later.
• If the sticky cart does not appear on page load, check whether the main buy buttons are already visible.
• If the sticky cart hides while scrolling, check whether the main buy buttons are currently visible.
• If the quantity selector does not appear, check Show quantity selector.
• If the add-to-cart button is disabled, check the selected variant availability.
• If the button shows sold out, check product inventory and variant availability.
• If the button shows pre-order text, check whether the product is using a pre-order template.
• Test on different screen sizes because sticky cart visibility and layout can vary by device.
• Clear your browser cache and refresh the storefront.
• Make sure you are using the latest version of the Be Yours theme.
