Pickup availability lets customers check whether a product can be collected at one of your store locations. On the product page, it can show the pickup location, estimated preparation time, and a link to view store details.
Demo Usage
You can see Pickup availability on these Be Yours demo product pages:
- Clothing – Cooper Cardigan — Below the Add to cart button. It displays Pickup available at German Warehouse, the estimated pickup time, and Check availability at other stores.
- Peace – Calathea Stromanthe Triostar — Below the Add to cart button. It displays Pickup available at US Warehouse and View store information.
Steps:
1. Understand How Pickup Availability Works
In Be Yours, Pickup availability appears automatically with the Buy buttons block on a product page when Shopify pickup is configured and the selected product variant is eligible.
- You do not need to add a separate Pickup availability block or section in the Theme Editor.
- Shopify controls pickup locations, inventory availability, and estimated pickup times.
- The information updates when customers select a different product variant.
- If no eligible pickup information is available, the pickup message is hidden.
2. Set Up Pickup in Shopify
- From Shopify admin, go to Settings > Locations and make sure your pickup location has been created.
- Go to Settings > Shipping and delivery.
- Under Additional delivery methods, open Pickup in store.
- Select the location you want to offer pickup from.
- Enable Let customers pick up orders directly at this location.
- Choose the Expected pickup date or preparation time.
- Optional: add instructions for the Ready for pickup notification.
- Click Save.
Repeat these steps for each pickup location.

3. Check Product and Inventory Settings
For a product to display pickup availability:
- From Products, open the product and check its variants.
- Make sure the product is a physical product.
- Confirm inventory is assigned to the relevant pickup location.
- Make sure that location is enabled for pickup in Shopify.
- Save any changes and preview the product page.
Pickup availability depends on the selected variant and its location-specific availability. If the product or variant is not eligible, the message might not display.
4. Check the Product Template
- Go to Online Store > Themes > Customize.
- Open the relevant Product template.
- Under Product information, make sure the Buy buttons block is present.
- Click Save.
Pickup availability is displayed beneath the buying controls when the Shopify requirements are met. There is no separate pickup styling or location selection setting in the block.
5. Understand the Storefront Display

| One pickup location is configured | View store information, when pickup is available. |
| Multiple pickup locations are configured | Check availability at other stores. |
| Customer opens store information | Store names, pickup status, addresses, and available contact details. |
| Customer chooses another variant | Pickup information refreshes for that variant. |
Customers choose Pick up and their pickup location during Shopify checkout, subject to checkout eligibility.
6. Notes and Troubleshooting
- Pickup availability is not showing: Check that Pickup in store is enabled for a location and the product has eligible physical inventory at that location.
- Buy buttons are missing: Add the Buy buttons block back to the product template.
- The pickup time is incorrect: Review the location's expected pickup time in Settings > Shipping and delivery.
- A location is missing: Check its pickup activation, inventory, and address in Shopify admin.
- Availability changes after variant selection: This is expected; pickup is checked for the selected variant.
- Pickup is shown on the product page but not offered at checkout: Review Shopify pickup eligibility, location settings, and checkout configuration.
Version note: Be Yours 3.0.0 included a fix for displaying pickup availability.
