In Concept, there are no specific rules for image sizes. Really, you can use any size you want, just make sure in the same place the images are the same size. You can see that the "Image ratio" setting for images is integrated into many sections throughout the theme, to ensure that the theme will follow your size, not the other way around.
Basically, there are no strict rules that you need to follow. However, it's important to ensure consistency in size within the same section.
For instance, for slide images in the "Slideshow" section, it's recommended to maintain the same size. In most sections, you may come across the "Desktop height" or "Mobile height" options, and you can choose to set these options to Adapt to image to prevent any cropping of your images.

Image sizes for products
From the tab Products on your Shopify Admin dashboard, you can add new products with their images. These products and images will display in the product-related sections on your Be Concept website such as the Featured collection, Featured product, or Recently viewed products.
We recommend using a size of 2000 x 2000 pixels for your images.

It is also important to note that you should apply consistent size for images in similar blocks under the same section. For example, you add a Slideshow section having 4 images, so make sure these four images have the same size.
