Setup multiple images associated with one option via Metafield

This article shows how to setup multiple images associated with one option via Metafield step-by-step.

Steps:

1. Create Metafield 'Gang media' for Variant

   • In Admin dashboard > Settings^[1] > Custom date^[2] > Variants^[3] > Add definition^[4].

     

   • After these clicking, the Add variant metafield definition window will appear.

     

     You must enter exactly as the below instructions for the function work correctly:

     • Name^[5] - Gang media

     • Namespace and key^[6] - theme.gang_media

     • Select type^[7] > choose File type, then choose List entry

     After this step set up, you'll get the Metafield Product icons with these settings:

     

2. Setup Metafield 'Gang media' in Product's variants

   • In Admin dashboard > Products^[1] > choose your desired product^[2].

     In this example, we'll go with 'Flow Harmony' product.

     

   • In 'Product settings', scroll down to the Variants. For the Gold Tone variant of the 'Flow Harmony' product, click [Gold Tone] to configure the multiple images for this option.

     

   • Scroll down to the Metafields > choose Select files under Gang media.

     

     Note:

     • After clicking [Select files], all image files will appear.

     • Note that this only works when you select the product's media library. In this case, it refers to the 'Flow Harmony' media library.

     • Following these next steps to filter the 'Flow Hamony' media.

   • Selec Product^[1] > type Flow Harmony^[2] > choose exactly Flow Harmony product^[3].

     

     Then, only the Flow Harmony media will be displayed.

     

   • Select the desired images. Then click Done and Save to finish the setup for this variant.

     Repeat step 2 for the remaining variants in this product.

After these settings, the function will automatically work without needing additional section settings.
