How to Set Up the Reveal Testimonials Section in Concept
The Reveal testimonials section lets you display customer reviews in a layered testimonial layout with a scroll reveal/parallax effect. It is useful for showing social proof, customer feedback, press quotes, or short brand trust messages in a more dynamic way than a standard testimonial grid.
Each testimonial can include review text, an author name, author details, an author image, a link, and an icon such as quote or star rating.
STEPS:
Add the Reveal testimonials section

From your Shopify admin, open Online Store > Themes.

Click Customize on your Concept theme.

Open the template where you want to display the testimonials.

Click Add section.

Select Reveal testimonials.

Drag the section to the position where you want it to appear.
-
Click Save.
After adding the section, you can add testimonial blocks and customize the section heading, colors, and spacing.
Configure the section heading

Open the Reveal testimonials section in the theme editor.

Add the main Heading for the section.
-
Use Heading size to adjust the heading style.
-
Use Heading tag to choose the HTML heading tag for SEO and page structure.

Click Save.
Add testimonial blocks
-
Open the Reveal testimonials section.
-
Click Add block.
-
Select Testimonial.
-
Choose an Icon for the testimonial.
-
Add the customer review or quote in the Text field.
-
Add the Author name.
-
Add Author info if you want to show extra details, such as location, role, or product name.

Add Author URL if the author name should link to another page.
-
Add an Image if you want to show the customer avatar or profile image.
-
Repeat the same process for each testimonial you want to display.

Drag the testimonial blocks up or down to change their order.

Click Save.
Configure the author image
-
Open a Testimonial block.
-
Add an image in the Image field.
-
Use Image ratio to choose how the image should appear.

Choose Adapt if you want the image to follow its original ratio.

Choose Square if you want a square image.
-
Choose Rounded if you want a rounded avatar style.

If Adapt is selected, adjust Image height to control the displayed image size.

Click Save.
Use highlighted text in testimonials
-
Open a Testimonial block.
-
In the Text field, select the text you want to highlight and apply italic formatting.

Use Highlighted text to choose the highlight style.
-
If you choose Scribble, select the Highlighted scribble style.

Click Save.
Customize colors and spacing
-
Open the Reveal testimonials section.
-
Use Text color to adjust the testimonial text color.
-
Use Background color or Background gradient to style the section background.
-
Use Highlight color or Highlight gradient to style highlighted text.
-
Use Button text color, Button background color, or Button gradient if button-related styles are inherited by highlighted content.

Adjust Top padding and Bottom padding to control the section spacing.
-
Enable Show section divider if you want a divider line around the section.

Enable Make section rounded if you want rounded section corners.

Click Save.
Notes
-
The Reveal testimonials section supports up to 9 testimonial blocks.
-
The section uses a reveal/parallax effect as customers scroll through the page.
-
The first, last, and some middle testimonial cards may stay more fixed visually to create the reveal effect.

If the section background matches the theme background, odd testimonial cards can display a subtle border for better separation.

Keep testimonial text short and clear for the best layout.
Troubleshooting

If the section does not appear, make sure the section is not hidden in the theme editor.

If a testimonial does not appear, make sure the Testimonial block is not hidden.

If the author image does not display, check that an image has been selected in the block settings.

If the layout feels too long, reduce the number of testimonial blocks or shorten the review text.

If highlighted text does not appear, make sure the text has italic formatting and that a Highlighted text style is selected.

If the section spacing looks too large or too small, adjust Top padding and Bottom padding.
