The Testimonials section helps you showcase customer reviews, quotes, and feedback in a clean, focused layout. Each testimonial can include a quote or star-rating icon, review text, an author name, and an optional image. When multiple testimonials are added, customers can browse them in a carousel.
Demo usage
The section is used on the About – Concept Demo page, in the “We believe in the power of sound” area. It displays a quote from Jacob Freeman, Founder of Harmony Sound.
Steps:
Add the Testimonials section
- From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
- Click Customize on your Concept theme.
- Open the page template where you want to display testimonials.
- Click Add section and select Testimonials.
- Drag the section to your preferred position and click Save.
Add testimonial blocks
- Under Testimonials, click Add block > Testimonial.
- In Icon, select None, Quote, or a star rating from 1 star to 5 stars.
- Enter the review or quotation in Text.
- Add the Author name and optional Author info.
- Use Author URL if you want the author name to link to another page.
- Repeat to add more testimonials, then click Save.
You can add up to 9 Testimonial blocks. Drag the blocks in the Theme Editor to change their order.
Add an author image
- Open a Testimonial block.
- Select an image in Image.
- Choose Image ratio: Adapt to image, Square, or Rounded.
- If you choose Adapt to image, adjust Image height.
- Click Save.
The image appears with the testimonial text and author details.
Configure the section heading and button
- Open the Testimonials section settings.
- Enter the Heading, Subheading, and optional Description.
- Adjust Heading size, Heading alignment, and Heading tag.
- To add a button, enter Button label and select Button link.
- Enable Open link in new tab or Show button icon if needed.
- Click Save.
Customize highlighted text
- Open a Testimonial block to highlight text inside its quote, or open the Testimonials section settings to style the section heading.
- Choose a Highlighted text style.
- If you choose Scribble, select a Highlighted scribble style.
- In the section settings, you can also enable Highlighted reveal for the heading.
- Click Save.
Adjust colors and spacing
- Open the Testimonials section settings.
- Under Colors, adjust Text, Background, Background gradient, Highlight, and Highlight gradient.
- Customize the button text and background colors if you are using a button.
- Under Section, adjust Top padding and Bottom padding.
- Enable Show section divider or Make section rounded if needed.
- Click Save.
Testimonials section behavior
- Each Testimonial block displays its own icon, quote text, author information, and optional image.
- Multiple testimonials can be viewed using the built-in carousel. The section does not provide a separate autoplay setting.
- The section supports a maximum of 9 testimonials.
- Content is configured in the Theme Editor; this section does not automatically import reviews from a review app.

Troubleshooting
- Testimonials do not appear: Check that the section is visible and contains at least one Testimonial block.
- Rating or quote icon is missing: Open the block and check Icon; None hides the icon.
- Author image is missing: Select an image in the block's Image setting.
- Author link does not work: Check the Author URL setting.
- Highlighted text is not visible: Review the relevant Highlighted text style and the section's highlight colors.
- Carousel is not active: Add more than one Testimonial block.
